"What we think and what we eat - combined together -
make us what we are, physically and mentally." - Edgar Cayce

While there are many wonderful and varied approaches to nutrition, the general rule suggests that an alkaline diet plan automatically creates health within us. The alkaline diet plan is simple to understand, use, and follow. Foods are divided into "Four groups" from which you chose what you will eat.

For optimum nutrition, the following are essential:
• Enzymes best source - Fresh fruit and vegetables
• Minerals  best source - rock salt, fruit and vegetables
• Vitamins  best source - Fresh fruit and vegetables
• Amino Acids  best source - sprouted seeds
• Essential Fatty Acids best source - flax seed oil, hemp oil

Raising the temperature of food above 116 degrees F, will kill the enzymes that are essential for the digestion of food, the utilisation of minerals and the assimilation of vitamins. Two of the essential amino acids, tryptophan and lysine begin to be destroyed by heat at 110 degrees F. It is the depletion of the enzyme supply in the physical body that leads to the initial cause of physical illness.

Therefore a diet that is predominately high in raw fruit and vegetables will provide these necessary essential ingredients.
